A poem by Jamie Bates
I am a lightworker shining bright for all to see.
I shine my light in darkness with complete and total ease.
Where ever I go, whatever I do, the darkness unravels for all, even those not pleased.
It's an uncomfortable skill I have honed through the years. Shifting, changing, and rearranging the space and places that no longer work.
For now, is the time to not be a jerk.
I bring the light where ever I go, there’s no hiding, pretending or trying to skirt.
The light it follows you no matter how hard you try, to pretend that all are nice guys.
Whatever you do don’t run from the light.
It creates a lightness that's always bright.
Be vulnerable and kind, realizing the places you’ve been were places required.
Now is the time to release them, its time to retire.
It’s all a process of time and space.
